In one comment above you mentioned 3000 steps in another 4000. Is the later addition because of Jain temple (may be 500 down + 500 up)?

– So, if I plan to go from Ambaji temple to Dattatreya temple directly, how many steps would it be?
– Also, is Gorakhnath temple on the above way (Ambaji to Dattatreya temple)?

There will be close to 300 steps to Jain temple. Yes, doli is available to go to Jain temple as well as Dattatreya temple.

Ropeway drops near Ambaji temple. From ropeway to Ambaji temple, there are 40 steps. From ambaji temple, there are 1000 steps to climb down for jain temple and 4000 steps to Dattatreya temple.
